Life beyond the script📜
How are you living your life?
I know this is a sensitive topic and everyone is in a different situation/chapter in their lives, so I tread lightly.
Please note: I am coming from a respectful, genuine caring place to bring awareness, spark thought and encourage change.
Do you ever feel like you're living someone else's script, following a predetermined path set by society?
MINDSET 🧠
Working to live: prioritize work as a means to support your lifestyle. Work is seen as a necessity to fulfill basic needs such as food, shelter, and leisure activities.
Living to work: prioritize career above all else, often dedicating long hours and significant energy to work. Work takes up most of your time, energy and self-worth.
Living for the weekends: dissatisfied with the work week with a desire to break away from your daily routine and pressures of work. Primarily waiting for the weekend to enjoy time outside of work because the job doesn’t fuel you.
98% of us are following the script we’ve been forced to act:
You work 8 hours to live 4.
You work 5 days to enjoy 2.
You work 8 hours to eat in 15 minutes.
You work 8 hours to sleep 6.
You work all year just to take a week or two vacation.
You work all your life to retire in old age.
Only to watch your last breaths, wishing you had more time.
We often find ourselves trapped in a cycle of routines and obligations, living out a parody of our true selves, disconnected from our deepest desires and aspirations.
We have become so accustomed to material and social slavery that we no longer see the chains...⛓️
Life is a short ride,
why not live it up?

Stripping away clothes and material possessions- under the surface we are all humans with the same destination. Only thing that separates us on our journey of life is what we do with our time.
I know life gets difficult and throws us curve balls- emotionally, physically and mentally disguised in the form of bills and responsibilities, but let’s take a step back, slow down and reflect.
We've been conditioned to believe that success is measured by our productivity and our bank accounts.
But what if we shifted our focus away from material wealth and instead focused on experiences and relationships?
What if we lived for today instead of constantly planning or worrying about tomorrow or retirement?
Life is a precious gift and it's up to us to make the most of it.
Here’s how to start writing your own script:
1) Reflect On Your Values: take some time in a calm, clear-minded setting to reflect on what really matters to you.
- Ask yourself what does success look like for you?
- What do you value? What puts a smile on your face and brings you joy?
- Use this introspection to guide your decisions and actions moving forward.
- Success for me is freedom to live an enjoyable, grounded, and realized life.
2) Question The Status Quo: challenge societal norms and expectations.
- Ask yourself why you adhere to certain routines or beliefs?
- Do they align with your values and goals?
- I began noticing how most people live to work and live unsatisfied. Waiting for the weekend to distract themselves from their daily routine missing a sense of purpose.
3) Create A Vision: envision the life you want to live. Think about your dreams.
- Nothing is too far-fetched. What gives you “that feeling” inside?
- During my day to day in corporate america, I often felt like something was missing- a sense of purpose and meaning. Something more impactful.
4) Prioritize Self-Care: make self-care a priority in your daily routine. Can’t emphasize the importance of this enough.
- Taking time to recharge and rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit.
- Practices like meditation, exercise, or spending time in nature may help.
- It wasn’t until I understood which self-care practices worked best for me that I was able to unlock my cheat code.
5) Embrace Change: be open to change and embrace opportunities for growth and transformation.
- You can’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try new things.
- Embracing change will lead to new experiences and opportunities for personal development.
- Once I began exploring outside of my comfort zone I saw substantial grounded changes in my life.
6) Surround Yourself With Supportive People: people who uplift and inspire you. People that think different than the norm.
- Seek out mentors, friends, and family members who support your goals and encourage your growth.
- I decided to become the role model for others that I never had.
7) Take Action: all of this is for nothing if you don’t do something about it.
- Start by taking small steps, like practicing a couple of these tips.
- Then challenge yourself to start a new hobby, pursue a passion project, or make a positive change in your daily routine outside of your comfort zone.

Let's challenge society's script and rewrite our own narrative by prioritizing living over working, joy over stress, and experiences over possessions.
We started a small Facebook group in hopes of encouraging, inspiring and motivating others which is what the Mindset Money Matters brand is all about:
Encouraging others to:
To seek more → what fuels your passion
To challenge your mindset and look at things in a different perspective
To learn from each others experiences and be humble because we never know what someone else is going through
To uplift and want more from not only ourselves but those around us
If that aligns with you, I invite you to be a part of this movement and share it with whomever you think may also be interested.
